Interconnectedness

tibs pics3a00029There’s a very simple and yet very deep and true concept that my Tibetan friends like to remind us about from time to time. That person you have just met, with all his or her imperfections, weaknesses, qualities and contradictions, could very well be your mother, your brother, your daughter. I think this very simple, rather minimalist idea is worthed more than all the gold in the world.

I don’t have my Tibetan practice any more, but I remember encountering this from one of my early teachers, and the thought continues to bring a tear to my eye. Thank you & be well~
